West Side City Council Candidate Dan Lewis will launch his campaign to represent Albuquerque’s District 5 with a large gathering of volunteers at the Paradise Hills Little League Center at 1:00 PM on this Saturday, May 2, 2009.

“We are expecting a sizeable crowd from across the West Side to come together to launch Dan’s City Council campaign,” said Greg White, Campaign Manager for Dan Lewis, an Albuquerque small businessman and teacher from the city’s West Side.  “There are volunteers from Dan’s experience as a teacher, baseball coach, pastor, and a leader of the large Paradise Hills Little League Board who have signed up to get signatures to qualify Dan for campaign financing and to get him on the ballot,” said White.

Lewis is seeking to replace Michael Cadigan who recently abandoned a run for mayor of Albuquerque, and has indicated he will run again for council after first stating he will not seek re-election.
